Meet Sarah Jayne – Chair of the West Australian 4WD Association

Hi, I’m Sarah Jayne, Chair of the West Australian 4WD Association.

I’ve been involved with an affiliated 4WD club for the past six years, spending the majority of that time in an executive position. I’m also proud to represent Western Australia as a National Delegate with 4WD Australia.

4WDing, touring and camping are a huge part of who I am. I’ve travelled a fair chunk of this incredible country, including solo adventures with my teenage daughter, and I have plenty of plans for many more kilometres, campsites and adventures ahead. My biggest passion lies in exploring off-road and remote areas. There’s just something about red dirt, wide-open spaces and getting off the beaten track that feels like home — I often say that red dirt belongs in my blood!

As Chair of the West Australian 4WD Association, I’m dedicated to promoting safe, responsible and educational 4WDing throughout Western Australia. I’m passionate about supporting our affiliated clubs and ensuring that 4WD enthusiasts have a strong voice when engaging with government bodies and other organisations.

But above all, I believe 4WDing should be about enjoying the journey. It’s about the friendships we make, the places we discover, the challenges we overcome and the memories we create along the way.

Whether you’re an experienced four-wheel driver, a weekend camper or someone just starting to discover what this amazing country has to offer, I want to help ensure that we can all continue to enjoy our tracks, our camping areas and our incredible Australian outdoors for generations to come.

For me, responsible 4WDing is simple: leave nothing but deflated tyre tracks and footprints, and take away a lifetime of memories.

I’m excited about what lies ahead for the West Australian 4WD Association and look forward to continuing to advocate for our clubs, our members and the future of 4WDing in Western Australia.

So, buckle up, air down and let’s see where the track takes us! – Sj
