Adventure Smart WA – 4WD & Remote Safety Guidelines

Adventure Smart WA is a public safety initiative bringing together government, industry, and community to promote safer outdoor recreation across our state.

Developed in collaboration with the emergency services and rescue agencies, the campaign draws on real incident data to deliver clear, consistent safety messages for everyone exploring our state. While tourists benefit from the resources, the focus is on West Australians, who make up the majority of outdoor rescues.

The Adventure Smart website serves as a central hub—bringing together practical guides, tools and advice to help people plan ahead, be prepared, and take responsibility for their own safety, with links to agency sites for further detail.
